Gunda Screening with VegFest
Join VegFest for a screening of Gunda before it’s released in theaters! We are thrilled to host a viewing of this incredible documentary from Executive Producer Joaquin Phoenix showing the unfiltered lives of farm animals. Get up-close with Gunda the pig and her babies, a herd of cows, and a scene-stealing one-legged chicken. VegFest is also teaming with local veg-friendly restaurants so you can enjoy a discounted plant-based dinner with your screening. Visit bit.ly/vegfestmovie for more information on participating restaurants, which will be offering a small discount the evening of the screening. We hope to see you at the screening and thank you for your ticket purchase, which will help support our work as a non-profit to promote plant-based living throughout New England.
About the film
It is a film about pigs, cows and chicken. Black and white. Without words. Without music. Victor Kossakovsky is offering not just a mesmerizing poetic work of art but also a wonderful life experience. We get to know Gunda the sow, her family and neighbors, and it gives us the reason to think about the secret of consciousness and the value of life of those with whom we share this planet.
